Complete與 Finish的區別

2012年，在倫敦舉行的語言大賽中，圭亞那選手Samsunder Balgobin 在回答比賽中最後一道問題:

「你如何用一種容易讓人理解的方式解釋 completed 與 finished 的區別」，

他給的答案：

1.     When you marry the right woman, you are COMPLETED.
（娶對老婆，一輩成。）

2.     When you marry the wrong woman, you are FINISHED.
（娶到歹某，一世人。）

3.     And when the right one catches you with the wrong one,
 you are Completely Finished.
（讓大某逮到你跟小三，塗塗塗。）

擔任比賽的全世界一流的語言學家將桂冠戴在了這位選手的頭上，
獎品是環球遊和一箱25年窖齡的朗姆酒，

全場觀眾和評委為他起立鼓掌長達五分鐘。
